So, here goes for my extremely LATE blog update!
I’m actually writing this post in Word right now, just so I can upload it later when I actually have internet… yay, see, brilliant planning right there. Except I’ll probably forget about it and leave it for ages, and then find it in about 6 months, when it’s way too late to post it.
So, how was everyone’s Hallowe’en? Mine was fun, but more than a little bit crazy. I know, I know, my life is always crazy… but this night was even more so. I went out and saw a live band, which was a lot of fun. They’re a local cover band called the Jam Shack Araknids, and they’re a lot of fun. I saw them first when they opened for a different concert I was at. (They opened for an AC/DC cover band called BC/DC. Now, talking about crazy nights!)
So the band was a lot of crazy fun. I’d known that a bunch of my friends were going, but it turned out that we were nearly the only ones who knew about it… which made me laugh pretty hard. We just took over the dance floor, and rocked it. Imagine a group of about 15 people just partying as hard as possible in the middle of a huge, empty, dark hall while a live band screams and sings and plays their hearts out. I don’t know where my voice had vanished to by the end of the night, but it sure as hell wasn’t with me. Personally I think it snuck out on me when I wasn’t looking, headed out to go set off illegal fireworks.
By the way, I just wanted to let you all know… the Beach Boys make me happy. They really do. They’re beautifully corny, and just make me smile. I love Wouldn't It Be Nice. Oh, and the other song that makes me ridiculously happy is 59th Street Bridge Song by Simon and Garfunkel.
This picture is a view of the waterfalls from the road leading in to Zeballos, a town where I was earlier in October for a Youth Council meeting. We had a really good time, and I made some existing friendships stronger, and made some new friends too. Shout out to you guys right now! You make my life so much more fun.
